Materials & CARE

We source materials intuitively, choosing fibres that feel considered, expressive, and true to JUNO. Sustainability guides each decision, with a focus on giving character-rich materials a thoughtful second life.

Most JUNO bags are a combination of T-shirt yarn and “mill end” yarn. Mill end yarn refers to surplus yarn that is produced during the manufacturing process of yarn. It can include leftover yarn destined for landfill from production runs where it didn’t meet the standards.

We use this yarn as an eco-friendly way of reducing waste by giving leftover yarn a second life. We also use yarns sourced from different places we, our friends, and our family travel to (2 of the limited pieces are made from yarn sourced from Japan and Portugal).

Care & Maintenance

  • Blot stains gently with a clean microfiber cloth dipped in mild pH-neutral soapy water - never rub. Rinse by dabbing with a water-dampened cloth. Once clean, reshape the bag and lay it flat to air dry in shaded area.

  • Gently hand wash your bag in cold water, using a pH-neutral soap if heavily soiled. Once clean, reshape the bag and lay it flat to air dry in shaded area.

  • We recommend storing your JUNO bag in cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight (in satin dust bag) when not in use to maintain colour vibrancy.

  • To maintain the structural integrity of your JUNO bag we recommend avoiding washing machines, dryers, and soaking/wringing. In additional to harsh chemicals, bleach and direct high heat.
